Statement of Faith

The Bible

HJCC believes the Bible is the only infallible and authoritative word of God, given for doctrine, correction, reproof, and instruction in righteousness to overcome any problem or situation.

Luke 4:4; 2 Timothy 3:16-17

HJCC believes there is only one true, eternal God, Creator, Redeemer, and King.  He exists in three separate persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  He is good and perfectly holy, just, loving, and truthful.

Genesis 1:1, 1:26; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19-20; John 4:24, 10:30; 2 Corinthians 13:14

Jesus Christ

HJCC believes Jesus Christ is both fully God and fully man.  He is the Son of God, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life as He walked among men, demonstrating the authority and power of God. He died on the cross, rose from the dead on the third day, and is now seated at the right hand of God, having accomplished all that is necessary for man’s salvation.  He will return in power and glory and those who have believed in Him will be resurrected to a heavenly dwelling in an incorruptible body.

John 1:1-14; Romans 3:23-25; Acts 2:24-27; 1 Timothy 2:5; Titus 2:13

The Holy Spirit

HJCC believes that the Holy Spirit regenerates, indwells, and seals all believers at salvation.   He continues the work started at Pentecost by empowering yielded believers with spiritual gifts and the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 3:11, 28:19; John 2:3-7; Acts 2:1-4; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 6:19, 12:7-13; Ephesians 4:30

Humankind

HJCC believes that everyone is born into sin and needs salvation through Jesus Christ.  HJCC believes that all human life is created by God in His image and likeness.  Sin, sickness, and death entered the world and now creation experiences its effect.

Genesis 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 7:2

Salvation

HJCC believes that all humans have been born into sin and cannot be accepted by God based on our good deeds.  Instead, we all need salvation by confessing Jesus Christ as Lord, allowing us to be regenerated by the Holy Spirit, justified, and declared righteous.

Acts 4:12, 16:31; Romans 8:35-39; Ephesians 2:8-10; 1 Peter 1:3-5; 1 John 5:11-13

Healing and Deliverance

HJCC believes in divine healing and deliverance.  All yielded believers are empowered to continue the work and ministry of Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 53:3-5; Mark 11:23-24; Luke 4:18-19; 1 Peter 2:22-24

Christian Unity

HJCC believes the body of Christ, the church is composed of all born-again believers in Jesus Christ, regardless of denominational affiliation.  HJCC endeavors to  honor all denominational beliefs while working with clients.
